Mini Jam 159 - Lost At Sea
Every time i hear about a video game where you can choose where to go and nothing is off limits, I feel like there is something so simple that is just below the surface.
In this game, I find this to be true. All I really had to do was implement a system to make an endless amount of space without having to make an endless amount of levels. When I came up with the simple math and logic to implement this, I was shocked! On the one hand the solution was so simple and on the other I had thought of it myself!
I primarily have an artistic background rather than a technical one, so this way of thinking is new for me. I've been plugging away at little game experiments here and there for the last few months and I'm surprised that my progress is paying off.
This game is still very basic of course, but I'm starting to be able to express things creatively thru code, which i never thought would be something I could do. I mainly stuck to visuals during the game jam time, and I still am, but I'm putting in a lot of other mechanics which I will get into in the next post.
I plan to update this for at least the next week, but something I'm doing is trying to focus on one game a week for practice. Stay tuned for new things to come!

you're lost in the middle of the ocean, odds of survival seem as small as they could get.
